Burning River Baroque Offers Bay Village Concert

Bay Village — Burning River Baroque will present a concert featuring works of

J.S. Bach at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at Bethesda-on-the-Bay Lutheran Church,

28607 Wolf Road.

 

The program, “J.S. Bach, Sacred, Sombre and Celebratory,” will feature guest

artist Kathy Stewart, a founding member of Apollo’s Fire, on the traverso

(Baroque flute). The program will celebrate the many magnificent and diverse

faces of Bach, from sacred arias to intense instrumentals. A freewill offering will

be taken.

 

Members of Burning River Baroque are Wesley Hall, organ (and organist at

Bethesda-on-the-Bay); Malina Rauschenfels, soprano; Peter Lekx, violin; Cynthia

Black, violin and viola; David Ellis, cello; and John Romey, violone.
