Chicks Against Hunger Celebrating Their Fifth Year

Elyria and Avon, Ohio – August 10, 2014 – Chicks Against Hunger is reminding everyone they will be hosting their Fifth annual Avon Food Drive to benefit the Elyria Hospitality Center. Food goal for this year is 5 tons of food in honor of their 5th Birthday.

For more than 25 years, the Elyria Hospitality Center has devoted its energy to serving residents who need food or clothing as a result of temporary or longer-term job loss or a change in their life situation.

The “super six” most needed items are: cereal, peanut butter, vegetables (canned only), tuna fish (canned only), soup (canned only), and beef stew (canned only). Any non-perishable items will be accepted.

Donation drop off day is Sunday August 10, 2014 starting at noon till 2:00pm. The drop off location is at The Retirement People office on 611. The address is 37271 Colorado Avenue, Avon.
