Sweetbriar to Host Annual USO Golf Fundraiser

USO of Northern Ohio announces their 12th Annual Golf Outing & Clambake to take place Fri., Sept 12 at Sweetbriar Golf Club located at 750 Jaycox Road in Avon Lake.

This golf outing is the USO of Northern Ohio’s major fundraiser to raise money to support the programs and recreational activities the USO of Northern Ohio provides to the active military and their families.

Since 1941, the USO of Northern Ohio has served as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that receives no direct government funds, but relies solely on the generosity of corporations, organizations, and the American people.

The mission of the USO of Northern Ohio is to lift the spirits of our local troops and their families by enhancing the quality of life with recreational programs and services that boost the morale of our active military serving in and from the 29 northernmost counties of the great state of Ohio.

The USO is chartered by Congress as a non-profit organization and is not part of the US Government, but is recognized by the Department of Defense, Congress and the President of the United States of America.

Please join USO of Northern Ohio’s President, Seth Shalov, Golf Committee Chair Ron Schwachenwald and the Executive Board Members for a fun and exciting day. It will include a boxed lunch on the course, silent auction, raffles, clambake and more. A day you will be sure to enjoy; registration begins at 8 am, Opening Ceremony at 9:30 am, golf begins at 10 am and clambake at 4:00 pm.
