The 22nd annual Triumph fore the Cure was a hit under sunny skies at Westwood Country Club on Monday, June 22nd. The outing supports services for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer at the Cleveland Clinic Breast Health Center at Fairview Hospital.

The Community West Foundation event offered a great time on the links followed by a luncheon filled with distinctive highlights.

Dr. Neil Smith, President of Fairview Hospital, made a special appearance to thank sponsors and participants for their important support of the Triumph Fore the Cure mission.

Cleveland Clinic dietician Anna Taylor, MS, RD, LD, was keynote speaker. She focused on the importance of diet in the fight against cancer, reporting that as many as a third of all cancers can be impacted by diet. Physical activity, diet and weight management are three of the most important risk factors women and men can control in maintaining healthy lifestyles.

Dr. Debra Pratt, MD, Program Director Fairview Hospital Breast Health Center, provided some surprising insight into her personal fitness plan as she donned boxing gloves and hit a pair of focus mitts manned by Dane Ohly of Title Boxing Club in Westlake. Dr. Pratt works out several times a week in a no-contact fitness regimen at the Club.
