A long and blissful summer Midwestern drive spiked the drug appetites of four travelers from Chicago, IL and Sioux Falls, SD. when they stopped at a Sperry Dr. hotel parking lot in Westlake on July 18 at 2:15PM while en route to visit one man’s Cleveland relatives, report Westlake Police.
Blissfully unaware of the increased police attention to Republican National Convention delegate hotels, they smoked some reefer in their SUV.
Officers checking on the security of RNC delegates found the quartet and had them exit their rented 2016 GMC Acadia when 40 yoa Corissa MURRRAY of Sioux Falls stumbled and dropped a number of counterfeit credit cards. A label maker, coding devices, laptops, and other items useful for cloning credit cards were also seized as evidence.
MURRAY’s fellow travelers were: 32yoa Darrell NEAL of Sioux Falls, 29yoa Richard CARTER of Chicago and 26yoa Angela HOGUE of Chicago.
All were charged with Felony Theft. Their cases have been bound over to the Grand Jury, where additional charges may be preferred. All 4 were transferred to the Cuyahoga County jail on July 21.
