Westlake Construction Update

Family Aquatic Center at Clague Park

The old pool has now been completely removed. The two existing water slides from the former pool will be renovated in place, and a new dedicated 1,200 sf plunge pool will be constructed at the exit of those slides.

Construction will begin on the 5,700 sf lap and diving pool, followed by the family pool, splash ground and Lazy River. The project is on schedule for completion by summer 2019. View the Aquatic Center plan at www.cityofwestlake.org/Aquatic-Center-Plan.

Catch Basin Reconstruction

2018 Concrete Street Repair Rehabilitation with Catch Basin Reconstruction: Starting in the Bur Oak Subdivision, the work will be done clockwise around the city. See the complete list of roadways on the Construction Projects webpage.

2018 Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation with Asphalt Specialized Construction: The overlay of the road through Evergreen Cemetery and Porter Rd. has been successfully completed. Work on Sperry Dr. in preparation of a new asphalt overlay has begun.

2018 Waterline Replacement and Roadway Rehabilitation on Rose Rd. and Clark Pkwy: The waterline replacement started on Clark Pkwy. and is moving to the Rose Rd. portion. Work will be done west to east on Rose Rd. to Canterbury Rd., starting at the intersection of Dover Center Rd.

TRAFFIC NOTICE: Rose Rd. will be one way eastbound for LOCAL traffic only for the entire length of the project.

Sidewalk Repair

2018 Sidewalk Repair Program: The contractor is moving quickly through the southwest section of the city and will proceed north until all of the sidewalks are repaired citywide.
