The branch, proposed for Cahoon Park on the site of the Kiddie Kollege facility, was put on hold earlier this year after resident outcry over plans.
‘After a brief pause this spring, the Cuyahoga County Library Board of Trustees have provided a new time line for the project. Engagement with the City/Cahoon Park Trustees resumed in June along with board approval for advertisement of design services for the branch,” reports Mayor Koomar. “We anticipate that the project will break ground at the end of 2019 and the library will open in December of 2020. I have appreciated the continued dialog with the library trustees and executive team to make this project a reality.
