For the fifth consecutive year, Spectrum Retirement is ranked among the largest owners and operators of senior housing communities in the United States. The rankings, released this month, are catalogued by the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) and reported in its ASHA 50 report, produced by Seniors Housing Business magazine.
Based in Denver, Spectrum Retirement develops, builds and manages senior living communities. Among the top senior living community owners, Spectrum ranks No. 42; with 32 communities in 12 states totaling 4,102 apartments. The company operates an additional four properties, for a total of 36 communities with more than 4,500 total apartments under management, placing it at No. 35 among the top 50 operators.
This year, Spectrum opened four new communities with nearly 500 apartment units. It has an additional eleven properties under construction.
“We are honored to be among this group of sought-after senior living operators,” said Spectrum Retirement President Brad Kraus. “We have grown by offering a wide range of choices to meet different budget, lifestyle and design preferences for seniors across the country and by working closely with cities and towns who have a growing need for high quality senior living options.”
ASHA 50 rankings are compiled from company holdings as of June 1, data from public filings and other sources. Rankings are based on total seniors housing units, which include independent living units, assisted living beds, memory care units and skilled nursing beds. They include both rent-based and entry-fee-based units designed and operated exclusively for seniors. Based in Washington, D.C., ASHA is a research and advocacy organization for the seniors housing industry.
