Two RRMS Students Named Finalists for Maltz Museum Stop the Hate Essay Contest

Rocky River Middle School students Gigi Konrad and Gianna Miller have been named finalists for the 11th Annual Stop the Hate Youth Speak Out essay writing contest.

Konrad and Miller are two of the three finalists for eighth graders.

The annual contest gives students a platform to use their voices to speak out against hate and stand up for inclusion. The prestigious contest offers students the chance to earn individual scholarship money.

A total of 25 finalists have been selected for the 2019 Stop the Hate Youth Speak Out essay contest, including the top-10 juniors and seniors and three finalists each in grades 6-10.

The contest winners will be announced live at the award ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 pm at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The event is free and open to the public.
