HandsOn Northeast Ohio share how to you can volunteer in these troubling times.
Dear Friends,
We hope this finds you well and safe during these unprecedented times. We know that dealing with the ongoing effects of COVID-19 is not easy for anyone and we so appreciate the response from our community and volunteers asking how you can help. We know it’s complicated because so much of the work that we do is done together and is done at so many different organizations and sites across the city, and right now, most of that is on hold to ensure that everyone is safe.
But, that doesn’t mean you can’t still help out from home while practicing social distancing. We like to think of it more as “physical distancing” more than “social distancing.” There are still plenty of ways to feel connected and help our community.
Managed Projects Update
We know that our volunteers are eager to get back out there and help at our weekly and monthly volunteer opportunities, and we are just as eager to get you back out there. We are constantly in touch with our partner organizations and monitoring the news to make sure that we are doing everything we can to keep you safe. Many of our projects these past few weeks have been canceled and we appreciate your flexibility as things unfold and will continue to update you as best we can.
Please continue to check our calendar to find open projects that need your help. The calendar is updated in real-time and will continue to be the best place to see where you can help (in-person) once we’re able to get back to our regular volunteering.
Projects for the month of June will be posted today! Please visit our calendar to view and sign-up for projects. Again, we will update the status of these projects as needed but we’re hopeful that soon we’ll be able to get back to a bit of normalcy.
