Avon Lake High School U.S. News Ranking

Avon Lake High School ranked No. 966 nationally (out of 17,792 schools) and 33rd among Ohio schools (out of 691) in the 2020 U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools rankings. Avon Lake also ranked No. 12 for high schools in Northeast Ohio.

Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.

Avon Lake High School also holds a 97 percent Graduation Rate.

Being ranked highly at the national, state, and local level allows us to pause and give everyone some well-deserved praise and accolades. While this ranking goes to Avon Lake High School, it is important we continue to recognize the efforts of our elementary, intermediate and middle schools. The outstanding work done from PreK through eighth-grade in the Avon Lake schools allows our high school to reach outstanding levels of learning.”
