Thank You Sheila Struble! Super Send-Off for 45-Year NICU Nurse

Sheila Struble, RNC, has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic’s Fairview Hospital for 45 years, her entire career!

Last Friday was her last day at work. Her son arranged for her to arrive in a limo.

She was shocked when it showed up  at her home, and then it suddenly made sense why her son kept asking which scrubs she was going to wear on her last day!

Not only did she arrive in style,  her fellow caregivers were lined up to greet her with cheers!

Sheila has touched the lives of countless families who find themselves navigating emotional and trying NICU stays. This past May she was awarded the NICU Heart Award through the nonprofit “Project NICU.”

We wish Sheila nothing but the best in her retirement, and we deeply appreciate the decades of compassionate care she has provided. What a career to highlight as we continue to celebrate the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.
