Celebrities & Dignitaries in the Line Up for The LCADA Way Outdoor Benefit at Crushers Stadium

The LCADA Way, one of our region’s leading and most recognized non-profit agencies for addiction recovery and mental health treatment, is finalizing the celebrity and dignitary softball game lineup for their Diamond Day Field Party at Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The outdoor family “fun” raiser is set for Saturday, September 19 from 4-7pm, with a rain date on Sunday, September 20th. Crushers Stadium is located at 2009 Baseball Boulevard in Avon, OH.

The Diamond Day Field Party at Crushers Stadium will be filled with activities for attendees. Guests will enjoy on-field activities like running the bases, playing catch in the outfield and a fast pitch radar gun, live Motown music by the band Crusin’, silent auction items and raffles, ballpark style hot dogs and hamburgers, pizza, soft drinks, ice cream and donuts. All are encouraged to bring their baseball mitt and ball. Auction items include a jewelry raffle, $500 gas card, “50 inch flat screen TV, Indians and Brown’s autographed sports items, golf and hotel packages, restaurant gift cards and more.

Highlighting the benefit is a fun-filled softball game featuring local celebrities and civic and community leaders vs. The LCADA Way management and Board of Directors. Featured players include former Cleveland Browns players Greg Pruitt, Ben Davis and Al Jenkins, Indians standout Joe Charboneau, State Senator Nathan Manning, Commissioners Matt Lundy, Sharon Sweda and Lori Kokoski, Mayors Jack Bradley and Bryan Jensen, media personalities Tim Alcorn, Denny Sanders, Andy Bull Barch, and County Sheriff Phil Stammitti.

Joe Matuscak, Director of Marketing & Development at The LCADA Way said, “With so many kids and families cooped up these past few months, we wanted to host an outdoor event everyone can enjoy. Working closely with the Lorain Health Department, we’ll be following recommended CDC, state and local guidelines for controlled group size based on event regulations, temperature monitoring, face coverings, hand washing, social distancing and food safety. Our goal is to have a safe and fun event.”

Tickets to the Field Party are $40 for adults and $20 for kids 6-17yrs. Children 5 and under are free. A Family Four Pack (two adults and two children) is specially priced at $100.
