Man Hides in Trash Compactor

Westlake Police arrested a man who was found hiding in a trash compactor!

On 10/8/20 at approx. 9PM officers responded to the area of Five Guys on Detroit Rd for a suspicious male.  The fire department had already been dispatched to check on a male in the trash compactor behind the business.  Officers located the male as reported and talked him into coming out on his own.  When asked to explain himself the 25yo Richmond Hts resident said that he just needed some alone time.  The male had an active trespass warrant from Westlake.  When he found out he was going to be arrested, he became uncooperative.  The officers had to force him into handcuffs.  He was transported to the WPD jail without further incident.

Heroin, LSD and Crack in Bay

On October 5, at around 1:01am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Lake Road and Upland Road for a moving traffic violation. Officers spoke with the female operator, a 50-year-old Bay Village resident, who appeared to be impaired. The operator refused to take field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. During the incident, suspected crack cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia were found on the suspect’s person. On station, the female refused to provide a urine sample for testing. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On October 8, at 10:23pm, Bay Village Police received numerous calls of two men fighting in the backyard of a Wolf Road (23000 block) residence. When Bay Village Police arrived, they discovered that the men were brothers and that they were both high on acid. Both men were eventually transported to the hospital by the Bay Village Fire Department. After an investigation, three additional males were discovered in a vehicle nearby. As it turns out, they were transporting the intoxicated duo until one of them kicked out the rear passenger window in the vehicle. While speaking with the three underage individuals in the car, officers discovered that there was alcohol in the trunk of the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle admitted to owning the alcohol and was placed under arrest. Police continue to investigate and charges are pending against the individuals involved.
