River Boys, Bay Girls Win GLC Cross Country

Rocky River’s boys and Bay’s girls won the team titles at the Great Lakes Conference Cross Country Championships held at Bay’s Cahoon Park last Saturday.

: Olivia Bird and Abbie Dent from Bay High, team champs.

Individual champs were Bay’s Will Warren (16:14) and River’s Samantha Coleman (19:44). Runners-up were Bay’s Jude Alt (16:19) and River’s Carolyn Wanosik (19:52).

River’s boys won the team title on the strength of the 7, 8 and 9th place finishes of Luke Kishna, Greg Ganor and Seth Williams. Bay’s girls won with the third through sixth place finishes of Olivia Bird, Abbie Dent, Lexie Bechtel and Molly Rodgers.
