Avon Soaring Little Eagles Preschool Registration

The Avon Local Schools’ Soaring Little Eagles Preschool program is designed for children ages 3 to 5 years of age. Children must be 3 by August 1, 2021 and potty-trained. In the INTEGRATED classrooms, the program serves an equal mix of typically developing children and children with disabilities, with class size limited to 16 children with three adult instructors. The typically developing children, referred to as Peer Models, are an integral part of the preschool program as they demonstrate age-appropriate communication, play, and self-help skills while learning.

The GENERAL education preschool classrooms serve children ages 3 to 5 years of age. The class size is limited to 16 children with 2 adult instructors. THE GENERAL EDUCATION PRESCHOOL CLASSROOMS NEED TO BE AT OR NEAR CAPACITY BY JAN. 31 IN ORDER TO OPERATE DURING THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR. FAMILIES WILL BE NOTIFIED ON JAN. 31 OF THE STATUS OF THESE CLASSROOMS.

The Soaring Little Eagles Preschool program is staffed by teachers licensed by the Ohio Department of Education, and follows a developmentally appropriate and multi-sensory curriculum aligned with the State of Ohio’s Early Learning Development Standards.

An informational video presentation is now available to view on the Avon Early Learning Center webpage in lieu of a traditional information night. There will also be a link available to ask additional questions that may not be covered in the presentation.

Registration for the Soaring Little Eagles Preschool program will be available on Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. The electronic application and deposit link will be available at http://www.avonlocalschools.org/about-us/registration .

Click on the link that reads: To register your preschool child as a typical peer for the 2021-2022 school year. After selecting your session and making the deposit, you will be sent a receipt that will include a link to complete the district registration process.

Class size is limited and applicants will be accepted based on space available and age parameters in each classroom.
