Westlake Adds New Ambulance

The Westlake Fire Department took delivery of a new Life Line Emergency Vehicles ambulance last week. This new ambulance still needs to go to the Westlake Service Department for decals, but will become Medic 71. It will be first out at Station 1, and will be the busiest unit in the department. It replaces an ambulance that is 14 years old, and features more storage for firefighter turnout gear for the three Firefighter-Paramedics assigned to it, and enhanced safety restraints to protect our members in the event of a crash.
