City of Bay Village Police Chief Kathy Leasure has announced her retirement after 25 years as a law enforcement officer with the Bay Village Police Department.
Chief Leasure began her career as a Police Officer in 1996. She was promoted to Sergeant in 2008, and was assigned as the Detective Bureau Sergeant in 2016. June 2, 2020 she was sworn in as the City of Bay Village Police Chief.
Chief Leasure has provided decisive and steady leadership during her time as a Police Chief and in her previous role of Sergeant. She has focused her leadership on strengthening community-police partnerships and building a force that is responsive to community needs.
The City of Bay Village is grateful for her years of committed service.
Chief Leasure’s retirement will be effective May 1, 2021.
