Avon Lake High School Assistant Principal Adam Slabodnick, senior William Schum, and U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Derek Reese (recruiting).
Two Avon Lake High School seniors recently signed letters of intent to join the U.S. Army.
The school held a Military Signing Day hosted by Avon Lake High School Assistant Principal, Adam Slabodnick, who is also a corporal in the Army Ohio National Guard.
Congratulations to Logan Corbin, 18; and William Schum, 19.
Corbin will attend Basic Training at Fort Benning in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Schum will attend Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Schum is also a student at the Lorain County Joint Vocational School (JVS).
Both students knew from an early age in life that they wanted to join the military and look forward to serving the the United States.
