Mid-summer traditions came alive for the Westlake Baseball League this month. Players, coaches and parents all enjoyed some real highlights with All-Star games, tournament championships and a celebration of our national pastime. Congratulations to all!

Westlake Baseball League teams met with notable success at the acclaimed Bay Village Independence Day Classic last week. Congratulation to all the teams and players for these scrapbook moments.

The Westlake Baseball League (WBL) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1958 and is dedicated to the encouragement and development of youth baseball (grades Pre-K-12) in Westlake, Ohio. The WBL is not affiliated with any other organization and is independent of the Westlake Recreation Department. Westlake Baseball League is supported by the generosity of the City of Westlake and Westlake Schools who donate field usage to our program. All WBL board members and team coaches are volunteers.

: Congrats to Westlake Travel 10U and Coach Lasinis for bringing home the championship at the Bay Tournament with an 8-4 win over the Lake Erie WarHawks. WTG boys and coaches!

: 13u Westlake Valore went into the Bay 4th of July tourney as the #1 seed, but fell short to Bay Village in the championship game. The team played great and should be proud!

: Westlake White 11U brought home the championship trophy in the Bay Village Independence Day tournament. Got the come from behind victory against Avon Three Outs Orange 9-6.
