Westlake Police report that multiple calls to Domino’s Pizza raised suspicion to the point where police were called. Investigation led to the discovery of a missing woman at the Westlake Super 8 Motel, who also had warrants out for her arrest. Here is the Police report:
“On 9/15/21 at about 6PM WPD received a call from Domino’s Pizza reporting that one of their drivers attempted to deliver a pizza to a room at the Super 8 Motel.
“The occupant male at the room said he didn’t order any pie so the driver left. Domino’s then started receiving additional calls from the same room. The staff at the pizza shop heard what they believed was a commotion in the background of the phone calls.
“Officers responded to check on the room and found that the female who answered the door, a 43yo North Royalton resident, was entered as a missing person out of Cleveland.
“She also had a felony warrant out of Medina County Sheriff Office as well as other departments. She was arrested and turned over to a Medina Deputy. The male in the room was allowed to stay. No one reported any additional issues.”

Motel Woes
5PM: Officers and a rescue squad responded to the Extended Stay America Hotel on Clemens for a reported overdosing male. The resident of the hotel was found unresponsive by staff in a room. He was transported to UH St. John Medical Center after being administered several doses of Narcan. Officers and detectives investigated and confiscated suspected narcotics after searching a hotel room.
7PM: Officers responded back to the hotel for a male passed out in the hallway on the 2nd floor. The hotel resident reportedly got up and made it to the parking lot before laying down again in the lot. He was not fully alert when transported by Westlake Fire to UH St. John Medical Center. Investigation revealed that he was most likely suffering from a medical condition.
9PM: Officers responded back to the hotel for another overdosing male in the same room searched during the 5PM call. This time a 39yo Cleveland resident had to be given 4 doses of Narcan before he resumed breathing. This male was also transported to UH St. John Medical Center for additional treatment. The person occupying the room associated with these 2 ODS as well as at least 1 additional earlier overdose was questioned and taken into custody. Additional pills were taken as evidence. The 38 yo male, who listed the hotel as his residence for at least the past year, was ultimately charged with felony corrupting another with drugs as well as 2 counts of permitting drug abuse. Additional possession charges will be presented to the county grand jury. The arrested male was transported to the Cuyahoga County Jail the next day.
Hello, Stop Sign
On 9/12/21 at about 1:45AM an officer tried to stop a vehicle on Detroit Rd at Crocker after witnessing several traffic violations. The operator did not stop but continued to speed along Detroit Rd until trying a quick turn onto Mendelsohn Dr. The vehicle was unable to make the turn and struck the stop sign at the intersection. The operator complied with stepping from the vehicle when ordered to do so. The officers on scene noted that the 19yo Westlake female appeared intoxicated as she was very confused and unsteady on her feet. Field tests were conducted and the driver was arrested. The 19yo was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, speeding, reckless operation and weaving. Charges for fleeing and possession of marijuana will be forthcoming.
