The Community Outreach Department at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake is launching “Operation Thank You.” It is an initiative to write a letter or drop a note of support to those health care workers, police and firefighter/paramedics who are putting themselves on the line for the rest of us during this challenging time.
“It is a very tough time,” says Mary Kiczek, UH SJMC Community Outreach. “These workers are there for us every day, and now they are entering their third year in this fight. A note or a letter would mean so much to them! And we don’t want to forget the police and firefighters. They are the ones who are facing this on the front line in the community and responding to emergency calls. We want to thank them, too!
“People are exhausted, particularly healthcare and safety professionals, and could use some encouragement.”
Individuals, school classrooms, senior facilities – everyone – is encourage to take a few minutes and drop a note to:

“We are so grateful for our staff and front liners. Thank you for the countless hours and sacrifices you are making each and every day for the safety and health of our patients and community.
“We’re so proud of our Healthcare Heroes. They are incredible people who care without reservations or limits and are here for our patients, when they need us most! In these times of uncertainty, one thing remains constant, the dedication of each and every Healthcare Hero. They are COURAGEOUS, FEARLESS, TIRELESS, and show up ready to face challenges each and every day!”
Please show your appreciation and gratitude by sending encouragement or a thank you card to the front liners or an email to share, showing your support. We will distribute your messages to the appropriate team. They would love it!!
