Bay Village welcomed a jewel to the community the afternoon of May 7 with the ribbon-cutting of the new Bay Village Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
A packed-out welcoming from the community saw 2,995 residents attend the ribbon-cutting. Mayor Paul Koomar joined with CCPL Director Tracy Strobel in manning the scissors. Folks then poured into the new library, wowed by the sparkling resource that includes fireplaces and even a second-floor deck that affords distant views of the lake while you enjoy your reading.
A host of dignitaries attended the opening, including State Senator Matt Dolan, Library Board President Dean DiPiero, County Councilperson Nan Baker and more. The Bay High band added to the festivities as Bay celebrated a truly great day, indeed!
