Westlake Boys Track Wins Bell Invitational

On a rainy night in Rocky River the Westlake Boys Track & Field team took home the 1st place trophy at the Bell invitational May 7.

Facing tough competition from other top teams, Aurora, Rocky River, and Avon Lake Westlake pulled away a win after finishing first in a tight 4x400m race with Aurora. In the last leg of the race Joey Del Priore pulled out in front of Aurora to seal the win.

Taking 1st place finishes for the Demons we’re Tanner Amy (300m IH), and the 4x400m relay of Ryan Eddy, Casey Bowman, Lucas Sanchez, and Del Priore. The Demons also finished with a handful of 2nd places in the 400m dash (Basheer Alramahi), the 110m HH (Adonis Shelby), Shot Put (Arrington Taylor), the 200m dash (Tanner Amy), the 4x100m relay (Shields, Shelby, Alramahi, Mitchell) and the 4x200m relay (Del Priore, Amy, Mitchell, Alramahi). The Demons finished their regular season with a dual meet record of 5-0 and after the Bell Invite win look ahead to the GLC Conference Meet this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday.
