Music on a Mission, the City of Avon Lake and the North Coast Rotary Club
Make Music Day is a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in Avon Lake are part of a global celebration of music making in over 1,000 cities inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique.
Make Music Day Avon Lake will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Bleser Park and Veteran’s Park, and will feature musical performances by the Rock Academy, Billy Coakley Drum Along, St. Joseph Choir, Rick Keane, Music on a Mission’s Kids, Ri Rosecrans Music, Nowhere Men (British Invasion), One-Eyed Fred, No Strangers Here (Irish Folk Band), the Singer’s Club of Cleveland and many more! There will also be a children’s drumming event at the Avon Lake Public Library from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Children will have the opportunity to hear different drumming techniques and make their own music. The children can bring a pot or pan and a wooden spoon to drum along with the drummers. New this year – Weber’s Premium Custard & Ice Cream, Cleveland Cookie Dough Company, Off the Griddle, and Master Pizza will all be available for purchase!
Join us for the festivities! We invite musicians of all kinds to collaborate on making June 21 a musical masterpiece. Everyone is invited to come enjoy the live performances or bring an instrument and join in! Questions can be directed to Marilyn Zeidner at music@musicmissioninc.com.
