The Neighborhood Drop-Off Location, located at the Avon lake Service Center, off Avon-Belden road because the 21st drop-off location Rust Belt Riders hosts across the greater Cleveland area. Available at your convenience are two locking 64-gallon containers meant for all of your household generated food scraps.

Established in 2014 Rust Belt Riders is on a mission to feed people, not landfills while having a positive impact on the environment at the same time. When food waste enters landfills it rots, emitting methane. Methane, a greenhouse gas more harmful than carbon, contributes to climate change and air quality degradation. However, when these same food scraps make their way into the hands of Rust Belt Riders, they are incorporated with wood chips and leaves to make compost. When compost is applied to the land it helps to sequester carbon and water, benefiting our planet and preventing waste water runoff. Rust belt Riders compost and services are for all people. Regardless of if you have a few potted plants and live in an apartment, or a full back yard garden, their services can be tailored to meet your household needs.
