Sunday, June 19 (2-4 p.m.) Stories in Shadow – Watch Jacqueline Woodson’s book, The Other Side, performed with shadow puppets, then learn how to make shadow puppets of your own to help tell your own stories. Grades 2-5. Please register.

Monday, June 20 (9:30-10 a.m.) My First Summer – Celebrate your baby’s first summer with a simple sunshine footprint craft. For babies 0-18 months with a caregiver. Please register.

Monday, June 20 (10-11:30 a.m.) and Thursday, June 23 (4-5:30 p.m.) Art Walk – Enjoy a low impact walk in Clague Park and take nature photographs. Meet at the parking lot off Roman Lane, closest to the pond. Dress for the weather and bring water! The library will provide devices for participants. You may use your own camera, phone, or other device, if you prefer. Photography will be featured in the library gallery in September 2022. For adults with disabilities and caregivers. Thursday, June 20 (3:30-4:30 p.m.) Roblox Arcade – Love Roblox? Then join us in the Roblox Arcade! We have some private servers set up for Tweens in grades 4-6 to hang out with their friends and enjoy some of the most popular games via Zoom. Please register.

Monday, June 20 (7-8 p.m.) Investors’ Interest Group: How to Use Create Tax Free Income for Retirement – Learn how to create tax free income for retirement. Presented by Connie Costanzo with AFE – Association of Financial Advisors. Costanzo is a financial advisor with WestPoint Wealth Management. Please register.

Tuesday, June 21 (10-11:30 a.m.) Microsoft Word & Introduction to Northstar – Learn the basics of Microsoft Word and how to access Northstar Digital Literacy for self-paced online learning. Please register.

Tuesdays, June 21 and 28 (2-2:30 p.m.) Reading Buddies – Partner up with one of our teen reading buddies to practice your reading skills and share your favorite stories! Grades 1-3. Registration begins one week before each session.

Tuesday, June 21 (3-3:45 p.m.) Sunny Summer Seeds – Happy Summer! Celebrate the sunny season with this special adapted storyime followed by a craft! Ages 5-10. Please register.

Tuesday, June 21 (6:30-7:30 p.m.) Welcome to the Wonderful World of Gardening – Learn about the basics of gardening and plant your own herb pizza pot with the Herb Guild Garden Club! For Kindergarten through 4th grade. Please register.

Tuesday, June 21 (7-9 p.m.) Victory on Two Fronts: The Cleveland Indians and Baseball in WW2 – Baseball historian Scott Longert discusses the Cleveland Indians during the Second World War, its rebuilding after the war, and the team’s role in racial integration. Registration begins June 16.

Tuesday, June 21 (7-8 p.m.) Young Adult Book Club (In Person and Virtual) – Join us on the third Tuesday of the month for a discussion of a Young Adult book. Copies will be available at the Youth Services desk starting one month before the program date. This program will be in person and on Zoom simultaneously. Please register.

Wednesday, June 22 (6-8:30 p.m.) HeartSaver CPR/AED – Get certified for adult, child, and infant CPR and AED. Class led by certified instructors from UH St. John Medical Center. Please visit https://uhems.org/event-search to register. Email account required. Participants under the age of 14 must have a parent or legal guardian in class. Wednesdays, June 22 and 29 (7-7:30 p.m.) Family Storytime – Join us for rhymes, songs and play! For families with children ages 2-6. Siblings are welcome. Registration begins one week before each session.

Thursday, June 23 (2-3 p.m.) Teen Crafternoons – Join us for in-person crafting this afternoon.  For teens in grades 7-12. No registration required.

Friday, June 24 (9:30-10 a.m.) Summer Yoga with Ms. Jen – Calm your body, mind and spirit in this yoga class taught by Ms. Jen, certified Yoga instructor! Wear comfy clothes and bring your own mat or towel. Ages 2-6, siblings welcome. Registration begins June 17.

Friday, June 24 (4-4:45 p.m.) Fun Science Friday: Earth’s Moon – Join Mrs. K as we explore the science of our moon. We will learn about phases of the moon and how craters form. Discoveries will be made through hands-on experiments, active participation and a simple take-home project. Ages 4-6, up to Kindergarten. Registration begins June 17.

Saturday, June 25 (11-11:45 a.m.) Adapted Storytime – Join us for this storytime designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime. Content is geared toward ages 3-7 years. Registration begins one week before each session. Registration begins June 18.

Saturdays, June 25 (3-4 p.m.) Illustration Creation – Learn about a featured illustrator and then create a project inspired by their art. Grades 1-3. Registration begins June 18.

Sunday, June 26 (3:30-4 p.m.) Paint Play – We will explore many ways to play with paint. Please wear clothes that can get messy! Ages 3-8. Registration begins June 19.

Monday, June 27 (9-a.m.-9 p.m.) Summer Crafts Pick Up – Celebrate summer with some fun crafts! Kits will be available until closing on Monday, June 20, unless other arrangements are made. Registration required. Registration begins June 20.

Monday, June 27 (10-10:30 a.m.) Music Monday – Develop pre-reading skills with music, movement and rhythm through stories, songs, and rhymes. Ages 2-6. Registration begins June 20.

Monday, June 27 (2-3 p.m.) Teen Craft: Handmade Jewelry – During this craft session we’ll be learning how to make your own post earrings. Grades 7-12. Registration begins June 20.

Monday, June 27 (6:30-7:30 p.m.) How to Become a Real Estate Agent – Have you ever thought about joining the exciting world of real estate? Not sure where to begin? If you’re looking for a career that allows you to make your own schedule, build your own book of business, and be your own boss, look no further! Presented by Bethany Teriaca, Director of Recruiting – Ohio Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.

Tuesday, June 28 (7-8:30 p.m.) LGBTQ+ 101 – A truly inclusive workplace demonstrates a functional understanding of diversity, programs and policies that advance inclusion, and languages and behaviors that support a diverse and productive workplace. Attendees will learn, practice, and develop skills and understandings that enable them to respond to complex situations and interactions in the workplace. We’ll also build your team’s knowledge of the LGBTQ consumer, employee marketplace, and economic buying power. Registration begins May 23.

Wednesday, June 29 (3-4 p.m.) Family Game and Puzzle Time – Put together a puzzle or enjoy a game at the library! You can bring your own or use one of ours! Ages 3-12. Families can gather and have fun in an understanding and empathetic environment. This program is inclusive and is for those with disabilities and typical peers. Registration begins June 22.

Wednesday, June 29 (7-8 p.m.) Adult Creative Writing Group – Join us for an hour of creative writing prompts to inspire you to start and keep writing. Creativity is more than putting pen to paper. It’s about breaking away and trying something new! Please register.

Thursday, June 30 (3-4 p.m.) Breakout – This breakout challenge is going to test your ability to work together. Solve all the clues and unlock the mystery! For grades 7-12. Registration begins June 23.

Thursday, June 30 (7-7:45 p.m.) Oceans of Fun Magic Show with Jim Kleefeld – This magic show will be full of jokes, acts of astonishment and animal tales galore to keep the laughter rolling! Jim Kleefeld is a one-of-a-kind performer; you won’t want to miss this! For children up to 5th grade and their families.
