Andrea A. Patrick Marks Her Debut with the Release of ‘Battle Fatigue: Finding Your Way Back to Freedom’

Join the author as she recalls how she made the journey from battle fatigue to freedom again

Andrea will be speaking at Westlake Porter Library on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Andrea Patrick, in her first publishing foray titled “Battle Fatigue: Finding your way back to Freedom” (published by WestBow Press), shares with readers the inspiring story of how she overcame the stress and anxiety of being in a war zone through faith in God

The author, then an army reservist, was deployed twice to Iraq to serve those suffering from combat stress while experiencing fatigue, conflict and difficulty herself. Here, she shares her experience working with the military members and helping them stay mentally fit to serve. As an occupational therapist, she provided self-help and purposeful activity classes in their clinic in Baghdad and Balad. She also shares how her Christian faith sustained her in the midst of the most trying of times.

“This book has a variety of stories and can speak to the reader in different ways,” Patrick states. “I want them to be encouraged and know there is freedom and a way back to normal after having experience hardship, danger, and turmoil. It is about applying coping skills but also having a strong spiritual foundation.”

In today’s society where many people are facing crime, danger, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, “Battle Fatigue: Finding your way back to Freedom” hopes to provide useful coping skills and spiritual insights to help them overcome these issues.
