Happy 101st, Alta!

Happy 101st birthday to Alta Rinard, resident of Fairmont Senior Living in Westlake!

Alta was born on Oct. 28, 1922 in Kentucky and grew up in Newcastle, Indiana with her five siblings, Mara, William, Thomas, Carrie and Audrey.

She lived in North Olmsted for more than 50 years. One year ago, Alta moved to Westlake and currently resides at Fairmont Senior Living, an Integro Health Care Services Senior Living Community on Center Ridge Road.

Alta was married to Pete Rinard and has one son, Phillip, and three daughters, Beverly, Debbie and Joni. She has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Alta worked as a waitress and a welder.

“Longevity of life is a blessing for an individual and for a community which benefits from the knowledge, creativity and experiences this individual brings to all,” said Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough. “Alta has left a lasting impression on the lives of so many and she should be honored for her 101 years on earth.”
