The Avon Eagles Garden Club, located in the courtyard of Avon East Elementary School on Lear Rd., is off to a great start this spring.
The Club was inspired in 2022 by then- second-grader William Powell, the son of Neely and Jim Powell, and his love and passion for all things nature and gardening. Since then, it has taken off as a community cause that has captured the imagination of many! Here’s a look at activities there this spring.
- Students making May Day baskets to share with someone special.
- The first spring garden club meeting on April 17
- Learning about Nasturtiums
- The May Pole
- Getting the garden together on April 13
