Life Enriching Communities Concord Reserve Hosts Luncheon for City of Westlake

On Tuesday, May 21, the leadership team at LEC’s Concord Reserve community hosted City of Westlake officials and first responders at the second annual appreciation luncheon in their honor. Introduced last year, this open house-style luncheon has now become a significant annual event, symbolizing continuous appreciation for the Westlake civil servants and their invaluable contributions to the community, particularly to Concord Reserve.

Around 50 people from the City of Westlake attended the event, including Mayor Dennis M. Clough, Director of Planning and Economic Development Jim Bedell AICP, Assistant Fire Chief Mike Freeman, Law Director Michael Maloney, Community Services Members, and several first responders who play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our community.

“Last year, when the leadership team at Concord Reserve honored the City of Westlake first responders with this luncheon, we were pleased and grateful for their efforts,” said Mayor Clough. “This year, to include every city department and make this an annual event is truly appreciated.”

Guests were warmly welcomed to the Concord Reserve community with a meticulously prepared luncheon, including salads, a pasta bar, desserts, and beverages. Concord Reserve’s Director of Dining Services, Roe Betancourt, and his team thoughtfully prepared every detail. Chris Klawitter, executive director of Concord Reserve, and his leadership team went table to table, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to each honored guest, making them feel truly recognized and respected.

“We appreciate the City of Westlake government for keeping our residents safe and are proud to be a part of this city and to contribute to its thriving community,” said Chris. “We are thankful for their service every day, but we thought it was important and appropriate to honor them with a special day at Concord Reserve planned just for them.”

Some guests added a tour of Concord Reserve’s assisted living and memory support assisted living wing to check out the progress on renovations in those homes.
