Avon Santa Parade Celebrates State Champions

Avon’s annual Christmas parade is always a special time. But this year’s parade held last Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Avon Aquatic Center was made even more special with the appearance of the newly-crowned state champion Avon Eagle football team.

Fresh off their thrilling 20-13 win over Cincinnati Anderson in Canton on Thursday night, the Eagles were met with cheers of support from the many residents and families who turned out for this festive event.

Quarterback Nolan Good joined Santa and special guests on stage for the annual tree lighting.

Highlight of the night was the ride with Santa for the winners of Ride with Santa contest parade! Lexi and Ashton Brown were this year’s winners!

Generous contributions from Meijer, Master Pizza, Home Depot and others made the Music, Crafts, Games, Pizza, Hot Cocoa, Coffee, Cookies & Treats, Petting Zoo booths very special!

Music from Avon High Choir and Fairytale Princesses also made the night memorable.
