The West Shore Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the 2025 State of the City Address February 4 at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Sperry Drive in Westlake, where Mayor Dennis Clough delivered his annual address, outlining key priorities and updates for the City of Westlake.

The event brought together business leaders, city officials, and community representatives to reflect on Westlake’s progress and future. Attendees included West Shore Chamber Executive Director Nan Baker, Chamber Board Members, City Directors, members of our safety forces, City Council members, and representatives from the offices of the Secretary of State, Auditor of State, and Congressman Max Miller.
As part of the ceremony, Mayor Clough officiated the swearing-in of the entire West Shore Chamber Board for 2025, including four newly elected board members, who bring fresh leadership and expertise to the Chamber’s mission of fostering business growth and community collaboration.
The new board members are:
- Dr. Scott Latiolais – President, Westshore Campus, Cuyahoga Community College
- Joe Jasko – Vice President of Sales, CCSI
- Cristina Bertero – Founder & VP of Sales, Fully Promoted Cleveland
- Karen Sperli – Owner, Padgett Business Services
“Each of our board members brings unique leadership skills to the Chamber. Together, they will strengthen our efforts in supporting the business community, creating new opportunities, and fostering stronger relationships between businesses and the city,” said Nan Baker, Executive Director.
Mayor Clough’s Vision for 2025
In his State of the City Address, Mayor Clough emphasized Westlake’s commitment to economic development, community growth, and recreation. A key priority for the city this year is the enhancement of the Westlake Recreation Center, with a focus on improving the community pool, reinforcing Westlake’s dedication to offering high- quality recreational amenities for residents.
Exciting Announcements from the Chamber
During the luncheon, the Chamber introduced the newly selected Mr. and Mrs. Westlake, Jim and Debbie Wang, recognizing outstanding community members for their contributions.
Additionally, the launch of the new West Shore Chamber website was announced, a major step in modernizing communication, expanding resources, and increasing visibility for local businesses.
“The new website is a crucial step forward for the Chamber, offering our members and community an improved platform for accessing information, events, and resources,” said Jonathan Knoffer, Communications Director, who led the website initiative.
