The Bay Village Historical Society’s second annual Pioneer Days camp for children in grades three to six was a week full of adventures and fun.
The program took place daily from 9 a.m. to noon on July 21 through July 25 at the Bay Village Police Station and Cahoon Memorial Park.
Our intrepid pioneers made everything from candles and quilts to kaleidoscopes and rainmakers to their very own sourdough starter. They stepped into the lives of Bay Village’s earliest settlers by weaving on looms, pressing homemade paper, playing pioneer games, learning about native trees and herbs, churning butter, and even doing a little laundry.
