Wagners of Westlake Announces Closure

A Westlake institution – Wagners of Westlake – has announced that it will close at the end of the year.

The annual New Years Eve party at the venerable institution will mark the end of an era.

Almost everybody who lives in the west shore has memories of an event at Wagners (originally Wagner’s Country Inn), whether it be a wedding reception, class reunion or the famed Mrs. Claus’ Closet.

Here is the announcement as released by Wagners of Westlake:

After more than 60 incredible years, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Wagner’s of Westlake.

Since 1965, the Wagner family built more than a venue, they created a place where generations of families gathered to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. From weddings and anniversaries to birthdays, showers, memorials, fundraisers, and countless community events, Wagner’s has always been rooted in bringing people together.

Over the years, The Owner Chuck proudly carried on that legacy, remaining committed to the values the Wagner family established from the very beginning: serving our community, treating every guest like family, and preserving the warm, family-owned atmosphere that has made Wagner’s so special for generations.

To our guests, employees, vendors, and community, thank you. Your support, trust, and memories have meant more to us than words can express. It has truly been an honor to be part of so many of life’s milestones.

While this chapter is coming to an end, we are not closing our doors just yet. Wagner’s will remain open through the end of this year, and we look forward to celebrating with our guests through our final event on New Year’s Eve.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing Wagner’s to be part of your lives for more than six decades. The memories made here will live on forever.

With sincere gratitude,

The Wagner’s of Westlake Family
