The Villager Newspaper Online Your Community News – Cleveland's Westshore
It’s a tradition in Bay Village and one of the oldest holiday traditions worldwide—decorating our homes with fresh evergreens.
The Bay Village Garden Club is ready to help you create or purchase beautiful evergreen holiday decorations at its annual Greening of Bay event on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Bay Lodge, 492 Bradley Road.
A class in wreath making is available at 11 AM, and classes in creating a centerpiece are offered at 12:30 and 6:30 PM.
If you can’t attend a class, Garden Club members have created evergreen decorations—centerpieces, tabletop trees and outdoor arrangements—that you can order for pick up at Bay Lodge on Dec. 2.
If you need a last-minute gift, stop by and shop during the event between 12 PM and 6:30 PM to purchase decorated holiday mugs and wreaths.
Class sizes and pre-orders of ready-made decorations are limited. To register for a class or to pre-order holiday decorations, email bvgardenclubohio@gmail.com
Funds raised from this event are used to support community projects that beautify Bay Village—from annual plantings in city gardens to Welcome planters to wreaths on civic buildings.
For more than 90 years, Bay Village Garden Club has remained committed to its purpose: to educate and encourage an interest in gardening, the preservation of nature and the promotion of community beautification.
