Avon running back Tony Eberhardt is hoisted by Jimmy McKenna as the Eagles opened the playoffs with a win over St. John Jesuit Friday.
The Avon High football team advances to the second round of OHSAA Div. II regional play this Friday with a game against Highland at Strongsville.
Last weekend’s playoff opener saw the Eagles soar to an 11-0 record with a 28-12 win over a tough Toledo St. John Jesuit squad. It was a great way for the Avon seniors on the squad to say goodbye to Firment Field with their last home game. As the Eagles make their way through the regional bracket, all upcoming games will be played at neutral sites. Here’s a look at some of the action in the win over St. John.
