Future Planning Retreat for Families

Planning for the future can be overwhelming. Parents of a child with a disability need to be informed about their child’s opportunities after high school. Where will my child work as an adult? Can my child live alone independently? What programs are available when school services end? Can my child receive post-secondary education after high school.

These and other questions can be found at the Future Planning Retreat on February 24, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LCC Spitzer Conference Center. Come for an informative and fun day taking a closer look at the process of future planning for your student and family!

Graduation is right around the corner and the more you know, the better. We want to help students and families thinking about employment and living in their community after graduation get the information and support they need to plan ahead.

Students (Grades 8-12) are welcome to attend; they will participate in sessions to work on goals setting career exploration, and self advocacy with their peers!

Vendors and local businesses will also be available to share information on their services and connect with families. Lunch is provided.
