$50 Grand Missing from Bay Resident Checking Account

Bay Village Police report that a resident discovered that $50,000 was missing from his checking account after he received a notice for a bounced check.

Police report that on 06/13/2018, at 13:38 hours, a Manchester Lane resident came to the station to report that after having been advised that a check he had written had bounced, he checked his bank account and found that beginning on 05/29/2018 person(s) unknown had made multiple withdrawals totaling approximately $50,000. Information was taken for a report and forwarded to the detective bureau.

Girlfriend Alerts Police to Boyfriend’s Syringe

On 06/13/2018, at 15:24 hours, the station received a call from a female stating that after an argument her boyfriend exited the vehicle and began walking. The female claimed that her boyfriend was a heroin addict and was in possession of a syringe. Officers located the male and after giving officers consent to search his person, a syringe was found hidden in his left sock. The 28-year old Bay Village resident was arrested and taken back to the station. Later, his 24-year old girlfriend from Cleveland, the same person who made the original complaint, posted bond on his behalf.

Warrant Leads to Daughter’s Arrest

On 06/16/2018, at 17:24 hours, an Osborn resident called to say that she and her husband were out of town on vacation. She continued by stating she had received a call advising her that her 26-year old daughter was in her backyard and the mother believed she had a warrant for her arrest. Officers responded, found the daughter and after determining Bay Village police had a felony drug warrant issued, arrested her. Back at the station, while being processed, she was found to be in possession of some pills. They will be sent out for testing and if found to be a controlled substance she will face additional charges. She was to be held without bond for appearance with Rocky River Municipal Court.
