Bay Village Police reported yesterday that they impounded one vehicle involved in the disturbing Wheelie Invasion of motorcyle and ATVs that sped through the west shore and Cleveland’s west side Sunday evening.

“On 08/12/2018, at 20:20 hours, the station received several calls reporting a large group of dirt bikes and four wheelers west bound on Lake Road from Rocky River. Just prior to this, radio traffic had been heard indicating Lakewood PD had been chasing this group and now a Rocky River unit was following this group” said Bay Police. “The River officer reported they turned south onto Clague Road, before continuing on east bound on I-90. Bay units arrived in the area and found a four wheeler Quad abandoned in the yard at 23609 Lake Road. It was still running and up against a tree. Patton’s was contacted and the Quad was taken to their impound lot.”

Key Bank Account Theft Reported

On 08/08/2018, at 11:07 hours, a resident came to the station in Bay Village to report a theft from his Key Bank account. The previous evening he had received alert on his iPhone indicating a successful transfer of funds had occurred. Since he had made no such request, he logged into his account and found nearly $5,000 had been transferred to a Wells Fargo account. Key Bank was immediately contacted and all the victim’s accounts were locked. Investigation continues.
