Sunday was the best day of the year for area Police as well as kids from the community.
It was the annual Cops and Kids Day!!
Officers from all over the west side raised enough money to take 120 kids from their communities shopping at the North Olmsted Walmart.
If you heard a ton of sirens Sunday morning, it was the run of fun as they made their- way through North Olmsted, Westlake, Rocky River, and Fairview Park. If you have never seen the parade of police cars it is really quite impressive. Along with the sirens, Police give the kids control of the loud speakers too, so you may have heard little voices yelling ‘Merry Christmas,’ ‘ho ho ho,’ or even singing a carol.
The caravan left North Olmsted High School around 9 a.m. and arrive at Walmart probably around 9:20 am. What a great day!
