Three Area Schools to Compete for STEM Mousetrap Car Challenge

Who can build a better mousetrap (car)?

Attached is information regarding the inaugural interschool 2020 STEM Mousetrap Car Challenge featuring students from Troy Intermediate School in Avon Lake, Dover Intermediate School in Westlake, and East Intermediate in Grafton (Midview Local Schools). Because each school houses only grades 5-6, it was a natural fit for a friendly competition among students in the area.

Over the next few weeks, students will build their cars and each school will host their own competition to crown the top four teams from each grade. Troy will crown one winner from each team and an additional wild card from each grade. Those winners will face-off against the top racers from the other two schools at @1:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at Troy Intermediate School in Avon Lake (237 Belmar Blvd.)
