City of Westlake: Compost Site-Leaf Humus & Wood Chips

The City of Westlake Service Center operates a Class IV compost site which produces leaf humus and wood chips. Leaf humus is an excellent soil conditioner to add to gardens and flower beds. Wood chips are used as ground cover in flower beds and around trees. Both products are 100% natural! No additives, enhancers, or coloring is added during the production process.

Leaf humus and wood chips can be purchased at City Hall, 27700 Hilliard Blvd. Leaf humus is $10/yard. Wood chips are $7/yard. Once purchased, materials can be picked up at the Service Center, 741 Bassett Rd. The City offers delivery to Westlake residents for $20/stop.
