SOUPer Bowl XVI Food Drive a Huge Success, Helping Local Families
The SOUPer Bowl XVI Food Drive benefiting Community Resource Services (CRS) was a tremendous success on October 16, 2026, at Avon Lake Memorial Stadium. Avon claimed this year’s friendly victory over Avon Lake, but the real winners are the local families facing hardship, who will benefit from the generosity of both communities.
Together, Avon and Avon Lake raised $18,499 in monetary donations and collected 5,058 pounds of food.
Since the SOUPer Bowl began in 2010, this annual community tradition has raised a combined $245,688 and collected 97,872 pounds of food, demonstrating the incredible generosity and community spirit of Avon and Avon Lake.
CRS extends sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s event possible, including Kristina Buller of Avon High School, Amy Gannon of Avon Lake High School, Pilot Travel Center, Sue Cole of Avon Lake Transportation, Jeanne DiFrancesco of Avon Transportation, and the many staff members, students, families, businesses, organizations, and volunteers who contributed their time, effort, and support.
