LCOOA RSVP Cookie Sale

The annual Lorain County Office on Aging / RSVP holiday cookie sale will be on Friday December 6 at the Lorain County Administration building, 226 Middle Ave in Elyria and at the Lorain County Justice Center Building, 225 Court Street in Elyria. The sale starts at 8:00 am, we hope to see you there!

NOTE: We are accepting cookie donations for this sale. Cookies should be home baked. Please, no pre-packaged store bought cookies. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Cookies can be delivered to LCOOA, 320 North Gateway Blvd. 2^nd floor, Elyria. Or call 440-326-4816 for more information.

Are You Over 60, Disabled and Unsure Where to Turn for Needed Assistance? We May be Able to Help!

The Lorain County Office on Aging offers Information and Assistance Services to qualified Lorain County residents who are 60 years or older or disabled. Information and Assistance Services include determining what services you are eligible to receive and helping to connect you to area programs that might be able to help. The Lorain County Office on Aging also provides follow-up services to make sure you get all of the services you are eligible to receive.

Free Long-Term Care Planning Available to Help Older Adults Remain in Their Home

Have you ever thought about what you might need in order to stay in your home as you age? We may be able to help! The Lorain County Office on Aging offers Options Counseling to eligible older adults (60+ years) and their families to develop a long-term plan to help them stay in their home. We can help you to learn about and apply for community resources you may not know exist. We also work with you to make sure that your long-term care needs and wishes are both made known and honored.

Options Counseling is also available to help eligible older adults successfully transition from hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and other long/short term nursing facilities back into their homes.

Free Benefits Assistance Available for Adults 60+ Years or Disabled

Are you 60 or older or disabled and unsure if you are getting all of the benefits you are eligible to receive? The Lorain County Office on Aging may be able to help!

The Lorain County Office on Aging offers Benefits Assistance services to qualified Lorain County residents who are over 55 or disabled. Services include a benefits screening to determine if you are getting all of the benefits you are entitled to receive. The Lorain County Office on Aging also provides assistance in helping you to apply for and obtain any additional benefits and resources that you are entitled to receive, to meet your needs.
