60 Years!

The City of Westlake was thrilled when Conveyer & Caster relocated to Westlake in 2019 and is pleased to join the company as it celebrates its 60th anniversary! On Thursday, Mayor Dennis M. Clough and Economic Development Manager Michelle Boczek delivered a Proclamation to members of the Stohr Family, which has owned and operated the company for three generations! A Barrio food truck provided food for the day-long celebration and many of the product manufacturers Conveyer & Caster distributes were on hand as well. Westlake-based Sibling Revelry Brewing created a beer for the occasion at the company’s request.

WCA Expands

The City of Westlake is always pleased to see local organizations continue to build and grow within our community. Westside Christian Academy recently held a ribbon-cutting to commemorate the completion of a major addition to its facilities on Center Ridge Road. Westlake Mayor Dennis M. Clough and Ward 4 Councilman Michael O’Donnell attended the event, as did members of the Westlake Police Department and other members of the community. Head of School Jim Whiteman presided over the event and out-going Operations Director Carol Hinckley cut the ceremonial ribbon. The event included hymns and a presentation of gifts to thank Hinckley for her time with WCA.
