Avon-on-the Lake Garden Club Honors

Congratulations to the Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club for winning 24 awards at the Garden Club of Ohio’s 95th Annual convention in Perrysburg, Ohio. Avon Lake was also awarded one of the Most Outstanding Large Club designations by the state organization. Club members were especially pleased that two of the seven 1st place awards were given for the Petite Flower Show held last June. Six awards went on to the National Garden Club Convention to compete with other state winners and the Petite Flower Show received top honors. The club will receive a NGC Flower Show Achievement Award at the National Convention in Virginia this year.
