On August 7, The Herb Guild Garden Club held its 38th annual scholarship luncheon. Three area students received $2000 scholarships and were present at the luncheon to receive them. Morgan Berger is a graduate of Fairview High School and will be attending Ohio University where she will major in Restaurant Hotel & Tourism. Noah Bridger graduated from Lutheran West High School and will be attending The Ohio State University. He will be studying Food Science and Technology. Maddie Weller, who received a special one-time $2000 Zweidinger Scholarship (in honor of our former president), graduated from Avon High School. She will be attending The Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in Environmental Science.
This year’s luncheon, which was held at the Emerald Event Center in Avon was a huge success and will help pay for next years’ scholarships. Thank you to everyone who attended. Plans are in the making for next year’s luncheon and the date will be announced at a later time. Visit our website theherbguild.org for more information.
