Bay Village Historical Society May Potluck: Learn About the History of the United States Flag

The U.S. flag will play a prominent role in the 2026 Semiquincentennial 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

On Thursday, May 21, Nancy Haas will talk about “Old Glory,” its history, presence in American art and significance as one of the most iconic symbols in the world.

The presentation, held at the Bay Lodge, 492 Bradley Rd. in Bay Village, begins with a social at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7 p.m.

The main dish of chicken paprikash will be provided by the historical society. Attendees with last names beginning with A through J should bring a dessert for 10 to share. Those with last names beginning with K through Z should bring a side dish for 10 to share. All attendees should bring their own place setting and beverage. Alcohol is permitted at the lodge.
