One of Westlake’s most meaningful traditions returned this year as the annual Memorial Day Parade stepped off at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25.
Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, the parade began at St. Peter & George Coptic Orthodox Church on Hilliard Boulevard and proceeded to Clague Park. The event featured floats, marching bands, and community groups, emphasizing the deeper purpose of the day; a time to pause and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in military service. The parade serves as both a tribute and a reminder — honoring the individuals behind the uniforms and the freedoms their service helped protect.
